Angela Carlson, is a visual artist based in Shawnigan Lake, BC. She’s interested in both abstract and representational painting, with acrylic paint as her preferred medium. She has a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and is constantly learning from and inspired by the creativity and drive of other artists. Angela is also a scenic painter and project manager for theatre and film. She uses the large scale painting and planning skills and techniques she developed and learned as a scenic painter to create colourful murals. Prior to her work as a scenic artist in Metro Vancouver and on Vancouver Island, she was a potter and ceramic artist in Northern and Central BC.

It is an honour for my work to be included in Chemainus’ gallery of public murals and to be associated with the roster of fine mural artists who created them.
